Title:
POSITIONING SYSTEM OF MAGNETIC HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5712455
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To ensure a stable positioning action with an inexpensive constitution, by controlling successively the magnetic head drive motor with the difference signal between the target speed signal and the speed signal, the weighted sum signal between the position signal and the speed signal plus the position control signal respectively. CONSTITUTION:The speed control feedback signal VF formed by the difference between the target signal VT and the speed signal Vd supplied from a speed detector 18 is selected by a change-over switch 11. A magnetic head 16 is controlled to be positioned in front of the target track via a power amplifier 12 and a motor 13. Then the transient control feedback signal WF formed with the weighted sum between the position signal Pd supplied from a position detector 17 and the signal Vd, and thus the head 16 is controlled to be positioned on the target track. After this, the position control feedback signal PF supplied from a phase gain compensating circuit 19 is selected by the switch 11, and thus the head 16 stands still on the target track. In such a way, a stable positioning action is made possible with an inexpensive constitution.
