PURPOSE: To exactly position and transport disks by automatic operations by disposing a rotary positioning mechanism having pressing means for making linear motion and rotary motion on a moving base.

CONSTITUTION: A limit switch L1 is disposed between a rotating plate 12 and a retaining plate 15 of a pressing means 11 of the 2nd unit of the rotary positioning mechanism 8b. The limit switch L1 is held parted from the retaining plate 15 and the operation is continued if the retaining plate 15 fits into the notch A of the disk D when the pressing means 11 ends rotation. The operation is automatically stopped upon detection that the limit switch L1 is held pressed if the above-mentioned plate is not fitted into the notch. A working error is thus prevented. The disk with which the positioning and transporting end is transferred onto a guide bar 2 and thereafter the disk is crimped and transported by the feed bar F of a transfer press T.
