Abstract:
To provide a catalyst for a positive electrode for a lithium air secondary battery and a lithium air secondary battery enabling charging at low voltage when charging and enabling discharging at high voltage when discharging.
The catalyst for the positive electrode used in the positive electrode 2 of the lithium air secondary battery 1 is provided with nonaqueous electrolyte as electrolyte solution as well as a negative electrode 3 composed of metal Li. This catalyst for the positive electrode contains metal oxide with a function to absorb and discharge oxygen. The lithium air secondary battery 1 also contains the catalyst for the positive electrode in the positive electrode 2.
