Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the positively chargeable toner not causing excessive charging even in a low humidity environment, ununiforming of a toner coating layer formed on a developing sleeve in a single component type development system and lowering of image density and fog, etc., in a two-component develop ing system.
CONSTITUTION: This positively chargeable toner is characterized by containing particles processed with a silicone oil represented by structural formula I and II in which each of R1 and R3 is H, alkyl, etc., R2 may be absent; R2n is alkylene or phenylene; each of R4 and R5 is H, alkyl, etc., R6n is an N-containing substituent; mn is an integer of ≥1; (l) is an integer containing 0; (n) is an integer of ≥1; and the ratio of (l) to the sum of each mn, (m1+m2+...+mn-1+mn), of formula III is ≤1.
