Abstract:
To achieve both maintenance of alignment accuracy of a sheet bundle and suppression of a jam.SOLUTION: A post-processing device comprises: buffer means for receiving a sheet transported from a first transportation path, and accumulating and holding temporarily a predetermined number of sheets; and loading means for loading the predetermined number of sheets transported from a second transportation path in a first direction. The post-processing device comprises: moving means for contacting an uppermost sheet among the predetermined number of sheets loaded on the loading means and moving the upper most sheet further in the first direction; and restricting means for restricting a position of a sheet bundle. The post-processing device controls the predetermined number of sheets which are accumulated on the buffer means temporarily and are transported to the loading means together. The post-processing device determines the predetermined number of sheets on the basis of a physical parameter affecting friction force generated on a surface of the sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
