Abstract:
To avoid interference between preceding and succeeding ones of sheets accumulated within a post-processor.SOLUTION: A post-processor comprises a first transport path R1 for accepting a sheet fed at a first transport speed and feeding the sheet at a second transport speed, buffer means 60 that forms a bundle of sheets consisting of a predetermined number of sheets, a second transport path R2 for feeding the bundle of sheets at a second transport speed, post-processing means that loads the bundle of sheets fed from the second transport path and performs post-processing on the bundle of sheets, discharge means that discharges the bundle of sheets post-processed, and control means, if not prepared to accept the bundle of sheets in the post-processing means, delays the feeding of the bundle of sheets from the buffer means to the post-processing means unless hindering the feeding of a succeeding sheet following the bundle of sheets to the buffer means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
