Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make constitution compact and simple, to obtain excellent maintainability and to surely prevent faulty cleaning from occurring by constituting an intermediate transfer belt unit provided with an intermediate transfer belt, plural rollers and a cleaning means for the intermediate transfer belt so that it can be attached to/detached from a recorder main body.
SOLUTION: This intermediate transfer belt unit 2 is constituted by including the intermediate transfer belt 3, a 1st transfer roller 4 consisting of a conductive elastic body, a 2nd transfer roller 5 consisting of an aluminum roller, a tension roller 6 adjusting the tension of the belt 3, a cleaning roller 7 removing a toner image left on the belt 3, a scraper scraping toner recovered on the roller 7, waste toner reservoirs 9a and 9b in which the recovered toner is reservoired, and a position detector 10 detecting the position of the transfer belt in a unit housing. By tilting and opening a printer front plate 1A, the unit 2 is freely attached to/detached from a specified housing part in a printer housing case 1.
