Abstract:
To provide a posture correction device for correcting a posture of a spherical workpiece having a plane part which is obtained by cutting a part of a spherical body.SOLUTION: A posture correction device of a spherical workpiece for rotating the spherical workpiece 12 having a D-shape at a cross section so that a plane part 14 orients a desired direction comprises: a temporary placing table (cylindrical member) 31 having an accommodation hole 35 which can accommodate the spherical workpiece 12; and an adsorption plate 21 having a plurality of intake ports 24 smaller than a diameter of the spherical workpiece 12, and adsorbing the spherical workpiece 12 by intake air from the suction ports 24. In the temporary placing table 31, an opening end part 32 which can put in and withdraw the spherical workpiece 12 is made to oppose the adsorption plate so that a clearance W between the adsorption plate 21 and the temporary placing table becomes smaller than a diameter of the spherical workpiece 12. In a state in which the spherical workpiece 12 is accommodated in the temporary placing table 31, and made to oppose the adsorption plate 21, the spherical workpiece 12 is rolled so as to draw a trajectory of a "doglegged" shape along a surface of the adsorption plate 21 so that the plane part 14 becomes parallel to the surface of the adsorption plate 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
