Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a linearity of an output characteristic to a rotation angle of a rotation angle detecting device to decrease an outside diameter of the rotation angle detecting device with an enhancement of a detection accuracy of a rotation angle.
SOLUTION: This rotation angle detecting device is provided with a radial gapped structure, where a permanent magnet 27 is fixed at a side face of a rotor core 24 rotating with an object to be detected as an integral unit, an internal circumferential face of a cylinder 26 in the rotor core 24 is disposed to set proximately to an external circumferential face in the stator core 25, and magnetic flux passes through an air gap G1 therebetween in the radial direction. The permanent magnet 27 is parallel-magnetized so that magnetic lines of forces in the magnet 27 are mutually in parallel, with a hole IC 31 arranged on a magnetic flux detecting gap 30 formed so as to penetrate a center of the stator core 25 in a diameter direction. As a result, a range where a magnetic flux density of a magnetic flux detecting gap 30 linearly changes corresponding to an rotation angle of the rotor core 24 is expanded, and a linearity of an output characteristic of the hole IC 31 to the rotation angle is enhanced.
