To provide a pouch container which can simply be sealed again after it is opened once without using any other member such as a rubber band, a tack seal or the like, and a method for manufacturing it.

The pouch container is composed of a bag main body formed of a flexible sheet with heat bonding characteristics on its inner face and with a hand-clasping type sticking part 12 on its back face, and a shape holding member 20 pinched in the hand-clasping type sticking part 12 and heat-sealed on the inner face of a sheathing sheet 11. The shape holding member 20 is a belt-like body prepared by laminating three plastic-deforming core materials 21 with two pieces of cover tapes 22 and 23 with a two-layer structure, and the adhesive strength of the cover tape 23 (outer layer 23a) to the sheathing sheet 11 is set smaller than the adhesive strength of the cover tape 22 (outer layer 22a) to the sheathing sheet 11 so as to perform releasing between the cover tape 23 and the sheathing sheet 11 when it is opened at the hand-clasping type sticking part 12.
