Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process of powder coating of a workpiece in which initially the workpiece is coated with powder such that the powder adheres to the workpiece and subsequently the powder is baked in an oven.
CONSTITUTION: The surface part having a prescribed profile of the powder coated and fixed on a workpiece 10 is subjected to electromagnetic radiation before baking so that the powder within the surface having the prescribed profile will gelate and stick to the workpiece 10. Thereafter, the color powder 12 adhering to the workpiece 10 outside of the surface part having the prescribed profile is removed subsequent to irradiation by infrared rays.
