PURPOSE: To permit the complete combustion of waste plastic granules and the like by a method wherein a primary air supplying tube and a secondary air supplying tube are provided around the outer periphery of a heavy oil injection tube coaxially while a wire net body is provided before the injection port of a granules injection pipe arranged in a secondary air flow passage across the ignition area of granules or an air section.
CONSTITUTION: A powder combustion burner is constituted of a primary air supplying tube 3, arranged around a heavy oil injection tube 2 and provided with a swirler 8 at the tip end thereof, and a secondary air supplying tube 4, arranged around the primary air supplying tube 3. Further, 8 pieces of granules injection tubes 6, transferring the granules through gas-phase transfer to inject it into a furnace, are arranged in the secondary air flow passage 5 circumferentially at equal intervals while cylindrical wire nets 12, having spaces or the ignition area of granular body, are inserted into and attached to granules injection ports 7 at the tip end of the granules injection pipes 6. In this case, waste plastic granules is injected into a furnace 11 from a granules injection ports 7 to burn it, however, plastic granules, having large grain diameter, are collected by the wire nets 12 to melt them on the surface of the wire nets 12 and burn them completely.
