Title:
POWDER-FORM FOR FLAME SPRAY COATING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56127766
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the powder-form for flame spray coating material excellent in abrasion and corrosion resistance by a method wherein powders of ferrochromium, a molybdenum metal, aluminum and of boronic substance are mixed together to obtain a mixture containing specified proportions of desired ingredients.

CONSTITUTION: The powders of ferrochronium, the molybdenum metal, aluminum and of the boronic substance are mixed together in such a manner as to obtain a composition consisting of, by weight, 15W45% of Mo, 0.5W5% of B, 0.5W5% of Al, 25W45% of Cr, not more than 8% of C and the balance of Fe and incidental impurities. The ferrochromium is preferably high-carbon ferrochromium which contains 55W70% of Cr, not more than 9% of C and has a particle size of not larger than about 74μ. The aluminum powder has a particle size of not larer than about 74μ, and the particle sizes of the powders of the molybdous metal and the boronic substance are also similar to that of the aluminum powder. When the particles of the ferrochromium powder are used as cores and the particles of the other powders are adhered to the peripheries of the cores with a binder, the apprehension of uneven deposition due to gravity difference is eliminated and the powder material can be treated easily.
