PURPOSE: To provide a powder fuel burner wherein production of nitrogen oxide is reduced and an apparatus is miniaturized.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided a cylindrical combustion chamber 1 including a flame jet hole 3 at one end thereof, a fuel supply pipe 4 disposed parallely with a side wall of the combustion chamber 1 for supplying into the combustion chamber 1 from a tangential direction primary air, powder fuel, combustion auxiliary gas, and exhaust gas, and at least one secondary air supply pipe 5 disposed parallely with the side wall of the combustion chamber 1 for supplying secondary air into the combustion chamber 1 from the tangential direction. A plurality of secondary air supply pipes 5 are disposed parallely in the combustion chamber 1 whereby secondary air is introduced frown a plurality of positions. Tertiary air and combustion auxiliary gas are supplied into the combustion chamber 1 in the axial direction.
