Abstract:

To provide a powder phosphor having improved luminous efficiency, to provide a method for producing an α-sialon phosphor having the improved luminous efficiency and to provide a light-emitting device provided with the α-sialon phosphor.

The α-sialon phosphor 7 is produced. In the process, a raw material therefor is sintered with a gas in a nitrogen atmosphere at ≥1550 to ≤1750°C temperature under pressure.
