Title:
POWDERED MATERIAL FOR THERMAL SPRAY AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6089557
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain efficiently a dense and uniform sprayed film by sintering fine particles of WC and Co.

CONSTITUTION: WC and Co are pulverized to ≤40μm, and 100pts.wt. pulverized WC is mixed with 5W50pts.wt. pulverized Co. To the mixture is added a perfectly decomposable org. binder, and they are granulated to 10W150μm and sintered at 700W1,150°C in a nonoxidizing atmosphere to obtain a powdered material for spraying. At this time, one or more kinds of fine powders selected among fine powders of Ni, Mo, Cr, Ti, Ta, Nb and Fe as heavy metals and fine powders of TiC, Cr3C2, TaC and NbC as carbides may be added by 1W5wt% of the amount of the solid matter to increase the sintering speed and to improve the strength of the resulting particles. When WC and Mo are used as starting materials, a powdered material for spraying can be manufactured in the same manner.
