Abstract:
To provide a powdery cellulose having excellent moldability when molded into a molded article like a tablet.SOLUTION: Powdery cellulose has an average degree of polymerization of 100-700, a weight average particle diameter of more than 30 μm and 250 μm or less, and an apparent specific volume of 2-15 cm3/g. Preferably, the powdery cellulose has an organic carbon content derived from residual impurities that is defined as a total organic carbon content (%) when extracted by 1% NaOH aqueous solution-a total organic carbon content (%) extracted by pure water of more than 0.3% and 0.6% or less and has a particle size distribution sharpness of more than 1.0 and less than 1.5.SELECTED DRAWING: None
