Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the powdery make-up cosmetic excellent in the durability of the cosmetic purpose, cosmetic characteristics and skin moisture of the cosmetic coated on skin by compounding a pigment subjected to a specific treatment with a prescribed amount of an oily component.
SOLUTION: This powdery make-up cosmetic contains a pigment coated with DNA or its water-soluble salt and 5-30wt.% of an oily component. The DNA-coated pigment or the pigment coated with the water-soluble salt of the DNA is obtained by dissolving or dispersing the DNA or its water-soluble salt in purified water, charging a pigment in the solution or dispersion, homogeneously mechanically dispersing the pigment, drying the dispersion, and subsequently grinding the dried product. The DNA is preferably a DNA which is slightly difficult to dissolve in water and has an average mol.wt. of 500,000-5,000,000. The amount of the coating is approximately 0.2-20.0wt.%. All of organic pigments and inorganic pigments except water-soluble pigments among the pigments can be coated. The oily component includes caster oil, jojoba oil, squalane, and methylsilicone.
