Abstract:
To provide a power amplifier circuit that causes an appropriate load modulation effect without using a 1/4 wavelength line in a Doherty amplifier.SOLUTION: The power amplifier circuit includes: a first amplifier for amplifying a first signal distributed from an input signal and outputting a second signal, in a region where the power level of the input signal is at least a first level; a first converter for converting an output-side impedance of the first amplifier, the impedance being connected to an output side of the first amplifier; and at least one second amplifier for amplifying a third signal distributed from the input signal and outputting a fourth signal, in a region where the power level of the input signal is at least a second level higher than the first level. The output side of each second amplifier is connected to the output side of the first converter in series, and the first converter is formed so that the absolute value of the output-side impedance of the first amplifier is larger than that of the output-side impedance of each second amplifier.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
