An electric field sensitive luminous body 4 emitting light by an electric field generated around a power application wire, such as an electric wire 1, a substation bus, a power application bar of an enclosed switchboard, or the like, is attached to or close to the power application wire to display power application or power failure by the presence or absence of the light emission. The electric field sensitive luminous body 4 can be singly used, while the plural electric field sensitive luminous bodies 4 can be disposed such that a picture, a character, a sign or the like is displayed.
