Title:
POWER CONVERSION APPARATUS USING AUXILIARY RESONANCE COMMUTATION CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3651781
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion apparatus using an auxiliary resonance commutation circuit capable of lowing breakdown voltage of an auxiliary switch, while restraining deterioration in the efficiency.
SOLUTION: An auxiliary resonance commutation circuit 1 comprising a diode D, a resonance reactor L and an auxiliary switch S3 connected in series between a connection point N of a pair of capacitors C4 and C5 which is connected in series and an input voltage is applied to both ends and a connection point M of two transistors S1 and S2 of synchronous chopper type DC-DC converter, is provided. In addition, discharging resistors r1, r2 are connected individually to the capacitors C4 and C5. By switching on an auxiliary switch S2 at an proper timing, it is possible to supply power from the auxiliary resonance commutation circuit and to reduce switching loss of transistors S1 and S2 by sharing the current in the dead time between 'off' of the transistor S1 and 'on' of the transistor S2. Since the auxiliary switch 3 is fed from an intermediate voltage source by the capacitors C4 and C5, one with a small breakdown voltage can use.
