The power conversion equipment includes a capacitor, a plurality of switching elements, a plurality of normal-mode drive circuits, and a power supply for normal-mode drive. Also, the power conversion equipment includes at least one or more discharge-mode drive circuits M2b, M5b for driving the switching elements in discharge of charge stored in the capacitor, a power supply 50 for discharge-mode drive for outputting a power required for actuation of the discharge-mode drive circuits M2b, M5b, and a substrate 100 for disposing a plurality of connection units J2, J5 for connection to the switching elements. At least one or more discharge-mode drive circuits M2b, M5b are disposed in a specified region including the connection units J2, J5 selected from the plurality of connection units, and the power supply 50 for discharge-mode drive is disposed near the specified region. A wiring distance required for connection between the discharge-mode drive circuits M2b, M5b and the power supply 50 for discharge-mode drive can be reduced for miniaturization.
