Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide power conversion equipment capable of controlling balance of capacitor voltages of chopper cells.SOLUTION: Respective phase arms 3 are constituted of chopper cells 3 connected in series, are divided into upper and lower arms 21 and 22, and are connected to a DC power source via first and fourth switches 41 and 44 of both ends. Second and third switches 42 and 43 connected in parallel to the phase arms 3 are connected in series between the first and fourth switches 41 and 44. Power conversion equipment has output terminals 23 among the upper and lower arms 21 and 22 and has neutral points 5 among the second and third switches 42 and 43, and the neutral points 5 of the respective phases are connected. A control section 6 forms a circuit in which two phases are connected in parallel and the phase arm 3 of the other one phase is connected to the phase arms 3 of parallel connection in series for each voltage phase. The control section 6 superimposes an AC current on a cyclic current between PN flowing through the circuit, and suppresses unbalance of the upper and lower arms 21 and 22 by operation of the AC current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
