Abstract:
To protect a clutch for engaging/disengaging a flywheel from overheating, in a power device having the flywheel capable of engaging/disengaging with/from an output shaft of an engine.
A hybrid ECU 66 monitors the operation of the clutch 44 for engaging/disengaging with/from the output shaft 40 of an additional flywheel 42 and estimates the temperature of the clutch 44. When the estimated temperature exceeds a predetermined value, a predetermined operation of the clutch 44 is prohibited, and the clutch 44 is protected from overheat.
