Abstract:
PURPOSE: To protect a prime mover against short circuit fault.
CONSTITUTION: The power generating facility comprises a circuit breaker 4 for disconnecting output cables 3a, 3b of a generator 2, a regulator 12 for regulating input amount to a prime mover 1, a current relay 7 being set at a level for protecting the generator 2, and a short circuit relay 8 for operating the circuit breaker 4 upon detection of short circuit current flowing through the output cables 3a, 3b and operating the regulator 12 to reduce input amount to the prime mover 1.
