Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make accurate maintenance management possible by detecting either a rise up to the upper limit of the SOC of a battery or a fall up to its lower limit, by the collation of the voltage and the current of the battery with the voltage current characteristic corresponding to the upper and lower limits of the SOC.
SOLUTION: A motor 10 is provided with a battery 12 and a power source 14 as its power sources. And a controller 18 determines a torque command Tref according to line quantity of stepping down on an accelerator pedal or a brake pedal by a car driver, and controls power conversion by an inverter 16 so as to realize the torque command Tref as a real torque in the motor 10. Simultaneously, the controller 18 detects the voltage VB and the current IB of the battery 12 by using a voltage sensor 20 and a current sensor 22, and maintains the SOC of the battery 12 within the range between the upper and lower limits. As the result, it becomes possible to execute the on/off control of the power source precisely, to secure the oppotunity of resetting the SOC value, and to perform high-reliability maintenance management.
