Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the period, cost and safety, etc. of a conventional lift-up method for constructing catwalks.
CONSTITUTION: A temporary frame 6 adapted to a roof truss configuration is erected beneath a roof truss in the required area and is fitted with a temporary catwalk support 61 on its upper surface, and a series of catwalks 3 to be anchored to the roof truss in said region is assembled on the temporary catwalk support 61. The required facilities are assembled to the catwalks 3, and portions of the catwalks 3 where localized loads may arise are fitted with load balancers at the temporary catwalk support 61 to balance the catwalks as required. The series of catwalks 3 and the facilities are placed on the temporary catwalk support 61 and hoisted, and after the catwalks 3 are anchored to the roof truss, each load balancer is balanced to the center and the temporary catwalk support 61 is lowered.
