The generation system includes: a plurality of power generation units that create electric power from renewable energy; an electric power conversion section that converts electric power output from the plurality of power generation units; a first data transmission section that transmits monitoring data about the input side of the electric power conversion section; and a second data transmission section that transmits the monitoring data about the output side of the electric power conversion section. The first data transmission section and the second data transmission section monitor each other on whether or not they are damaged and announce damage to a monitoring apparatus.
