PURPOSE: To provide a power steering device capable of preventing generation of return-coil jet sounds at the zones downstream of first/second control sections, irrespective of variations in the discharge quantity of a pump as well as of variations in each oil-pressure control.
CONSTITUTION: In a power steering device comprising a rotary valve V changed over through the integral rotation with a steering wheel and formed therein with first and second control sections V1, V2-1 and a power cylinder PC operating in corresponding relation to the amount of change-over of this rotary valve V, a return passage 35 downstream of the first control section V1 and a return passage 36 downstream of the second control section V2 are caused to merge. Between this merging section 37 and a tank is provided a variable restrictor valve 14 the opening of which is varied in corresponding relation to a change in the circuit pressure.
