Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To soundly maintain a connection in a sound condition, whereby first and second cylindrical connectors for the feed of a large power are connected to each other, and to secure watertight effect of the connection.
SOLUTION: In a power-supply cable connector, after engaging an outside fit-on cylinder portion 13 formed at the front end of a first cylindrical casing 5 with an inside fit-in cylinder portion 14 formed at the front end of a second cylindrical casing 6, a bar-shaped plug 2 integrated into the first cylindrical casing 5 is inserted into a cylindrical receptacle 4 integrated into the second cylindrical casing 6, so as to connect first and second power supply cables 1, 3 with each other. Furthermore, in this power supply cable connector, a cylindrical protector 39 is fitted on the outer periphery of the engaging portion, where the outside fit-on cylinder portion 13 and the inside fit-in cylinder portion 14 are engaged with each other, so that one end of the cylindrical protector 39 is engaged with the outer peripheral surface of the base portion of the outside fit-on cylinder portion 13, and the other end of the cylindrical protector 39 is engaged with the outer peripheral surface of the base portion of the inside fit-in cylinder portion 14.
