Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device which allows for accurate discrimination of an electric apparatus connected with an outlet, and to provide an apparatus discrimination method.SOLUTION: A smart tap 100 includes an extraction unit 121 for extracting a feature amount from a current waveform representing a current flowing through a power supply path PL between an outlet 110 connected with an electric apparatus 200 and a commercial AC power supply PS, a discrimination unit 122 for discriminating an electric apparatus connected with the outlet 110, based on the feature amount extracted by the extraction unit 121, and a communication control unit 124 for controlling to transmit the apparatus information indicating the electric apparatus 200 discriminated by the discrimination unit 122, together with the outlet ID of the outlet 110 connected with the electric apparatus 200, from a communication unit 130 to a server device 300.
