Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively utilize each electrical characteristic of a capacitor and a battery by using the capacitor and battery as a power supply corresponding to the electrical drive and power generation of a motor for a turbocharger
CONSTITUTION: A battery 3 and a capacitor 5 of large capacitance are respectively connected through relays to the power converter 4 of a motor 2 fitted to the turbine shaft of a turbocharger 1. When the motor 2 is used for electrical drive or operated for power generation, the capacitor 5 having good charge and discharge characteristics is actuated in advance with a controller 9 under control with both relays, and the characteristic of the capacitor 5 is thereby used effectively.
