Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide power supply equipment for driving a piezoelectric actuator which can reduce frequency dependence and rounding of a voltage waveform amplitude, and also can prevent damage to a circuit element in the power supply equipment.
SOLUTION: A peak value of a current I flowing to a piezoelectric actuator element 3 is detected by a peak current detecting circuit 22 and inputted to a control circuit 25 through an insulated coupling element 27, and, when the peak value of the current I exceeds a set value ITH, a control signal S2 is sent out from the control circuit 25 to a switching element 21 through an insulated coupling element 26. As a result, the switching element 21 is put in an OFF state in a short time of 10μsec or below and the current I is cut off.
