Title:
POWER SUPPLY IN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3431537
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-source power supply in an electric vehicle for carrying out rapid charge of a low-voltage battery in a simple constitution.
SOLUTION: When a shortage in charging is caused for a low-voltage battery 2 for feeding power to accessories (including a control unit) in a power supply in an electric vehicle, the low-voltage battery 2 is charged with power from a high-voltage battery 1 for feeding a running motor through a DC-DC converter 3. In an inverter circuit 4 of the DC-DC converter 3, not only a single-phase AC voltage with a given frequency (any one of harmonic and rectangular waveforms) is generated, but a duty ratio is adjusted under PWM control so that an output current of a semiconductor switching element in the inverter circuit 4 becomes a given value of an allowable maximum current value minus a temperature influence offset current value that is linked with temperatures of the semiconductor switching element.
