Abstract:
To utilize hydrogen accumulated in a hydrogen occlusive alloy even in a low-temperature environment, without degrading the efficiency of the total energy in a system.SOLUTION: A power supply system comprises: a storage battery which stores surplus power of renewable energy and then outputs it as discharge power by using the amount of power thus stored; a hydrogen production device which produces hydrogen by using the surplus power and the discharge power; an occlusive alloy tank which stores the hydrogen thus produced by the hydrogen production device; a fuel cell which generates power by using the hydrogen in the occlusive alloy tank so that the power thus generated is supplied to consumer loads; and a control device which controls heating of the occlusive alloy tank by recovering reaction heat generated by a chemical reaction that occurs when the hydrogen occlusive alloy occludes the hydrogen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
