Abstract:
To provide a power supply device and a transformer that are capable of preventing a transformer from being complicated, and increased in size, even when it is so constituted that a protection operation is performed in the case of temperature rise of the transformer.SOLUTION: A power supply device 100 (transformer 1) is arranged between one core 30 and the other core 40, comprises a thermal expansion member 50 including an insulating resin or insulation rubber having a larger thermal expansion coefficient α2 than a thermal expansion coefficient α1 of an annular core 13, and is constituted so that a current value I0 of excitation current i0 is made to be large, when a distance D between the one core 30 and the other core 40 becomes large via thermal expansion of the thermal expansion member 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
