Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce inductive ripples without increasing the capacitance for an output circuit in a power supply unit for traveling-wave tube.
CONSTITUTION: By means of a transformer 3 driven by a high-frequency inverter 1, a secondary winding wire thereof is connected to a bridge rectifier circuit 18 so as to become a cathode of a traveling-wave tube 43 and a collector power supply terminal. Further the secondary winding wire of the transformer 3 is also connected to a voltage doubler rectifier circuit 20, and one output terminal thereof is connected with the cathode and the other with a helix as well as a grounding 41, respectively. A high voltage generation section with such a configuration is contained by a shield case 5, which is connected to a cathode connecting terminal 35 of the tube 43. Then the outer periphery of the case 5 is included by a grounding case 7 for grounding.
