Abstract:
To determine the deterioration of a low voltage battery.SOLUTION: A power supply includes a bidirectional DC/DC converter, a connection line, a low voltage battery, a detection unit, and a control device. The bidirectional DC/DC converter includes a first input/output end and a second input/output end. A high voltage battery is electrically connected to the first input/output end. The connection line is electrically connected to the second input/output end. The low voltage battery is electrically connected to the connection line. The detection unit detects the voltage and discharge current of the low voltage battery. The control device controls the bidirectional DC/DC converter such that the DC power output from the low voltage battery to the second input/output terminal is boosted and output to the first input/output terminal when the vehicle is started. The control device determines whether the low voltage battery is deteriorated on the basis of the discharge current flowing from the low voltage battery to the second input/output end and the value of the voltage drop of the low voltage battery caused by the flow of the discharge current when the vehicle is started.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
