Abstract:

To provide a power supply capable of rapidly transiting an output current with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The power supply 10 supplies an output current Iout to an electromagnet 4 in accordance with a reference current signal Iref which transits between a first signal value and a second signal value different from the first signal value. The power supply 10 comprises power converters 14 and 24 configured to input a first DC voltage and supply power to the electromagnet 4, and a control device 30 configured to control the power converters 14 and 24. The control device 30 has a first operation mode and a second operation mode. In the first operation mode, the power converters 14 and 24 are made to output a first constant voltage according to the first DC voltage, over the first time period which is a transition period from a first output current value corresponding to the first signal value to a second output current value corresponding to the second signal value. In the second operation mode, the power converters 14 and 24 are made to output the output current Iout, controlled on the basis of each of the first and second signal values, to the power converters 14 and 24, during the second time period other than the first time period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
