To improve a shift feeling by daringly forming the valley of total torque during a shift operation in a power transmission control device of a vehicle equipped with an internal combustion engine and a motor as a power source.
The power transmission control device of a vehicle includes a switching mechanism for selecting any of an "IN connecting state" that a power transmission system is formed between a transmission input shaft and a motor output shaft, an "OUT connecting state" that the power transmission system is formed between a transmission output shaft and the motor output shaft, and a "neutral state" that the power transmission system is not formed. The shift operation is performed in the OUT connecting state. During the shift operation, when E/G torque Te is maintained to be zero (t2 to t4). Since the start of the shift operation until the first point of time in the middle of the shift operation, M/G torque Tm is maintained to be a value T1 which is smaller than request torque Tr (t2 to t3), and since the first point of time until the end of the shift operation, the M/G torque Tm is increased (t3 to t4). After the end of the shift operation (on and after t4), total torque (=Te+Ts) is increased toward the request torque Tr.
