PURPOSE: To simplify power transmission structure and to make a belt play a role of safeguard in the case of locking caused by clogging of treating barrel by driving the treating barrel through a counter shaft by a handling barrel, working a chain inside treating chamber and operating a belt outside the handling chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A counter shaft 25 to drive a treating barrel is supported on a shaft 14 between a reinforcing member 23 and a middle plate 8. A transmission belt 28 is wound on between a pulley 26 attached to one end of the counter shaft 25 and a pulley 27 fixed to a handling barrel shaft 1 A, a transmission chain 31 is hung on between a sprocket 29 fixed to the other end of the counter shaft 25 and a sprocket 30 attached to a treating barrel shaft 14A and the treating barrel 14 is revolved and driven by the handling barrel 1 to constitute linking. Consequently, power transmission structure between the handling barrel 1 and the treating barrel 14 is simplified and can be arranged at the side of outlet of the handling chamber 2. Further, even if the power transmission structure is locked due to clogging in the treating barrel, the belt side plays a role of safeguard. A belt is simply changed when the belt is damaged and the power transmission device has excellent maintenance.
