Abstract:
To provide a power transmission device for a vehicle capable of suppressing disengagement of a connection/disconnection sleeve and a ring gear in transmitting power, without increasing energization force of a spring.SOLUTION: In a power transmission device 100 for a vehicle which transmits power from an input shaft 34 to a third ring gear 52 through a second connecting/disconnecting sleeve 62 by moving the second connecting/disconnecting sleeve 62 energized to a second engagement position by a spring 78 to the second engagement position, a first spline tooth surface 130a of a second outer peripheral spline tooth 34b formed on an outer peripheral face of the input shaft 34 is provided with a first step portion 130b2 kept into contact with a first end face 62m of the second connecting/disconnecting sleeve 62 to suppress movement of the second connecting/disconnecting sleeve 62 from the second engagement position to a second non-engagement position. Thus disengagement of the second connecting/disconnecting sleeve 62 and the third ring gear 52 can be suppressed without increasing energization force of the spring 78.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
