To provide a power transmission device that can control upsizing when installing a mechanism that separates a planetary gear mechanism and a driving wheel, and a parking lock mechanism.
The power transmission device includes: an output member 4 that has an output gear 23; a planetary gear mechanism 50 that has a rotation element 50r corresponding to the output member, a rotation element 50c corresponding to an engine, and a rotation element 50S corresponding to a rotating electric machine; and an engagement device 80. The engagement device has an engagement moving member 82 that can switch a first engagement state, a second engagement state, or an open state. The engagement moving member in a first engagement state engages a ring gear that is the rotation element corresponding to the output member and the output member, and allows the rotation of the ring gear and the output member. The engagement moving member in a second engagement state controls the rotation of the output member. The engagement moving member in the open state opens the ring gear and the output member and allows the rotation of the ring gear and the output member.
