Abstract:
To prevent foreign substances from entering the high electromagnetic field area inside the system of a power transmission device that transmits power to a power receiving device without contacting the device.SOLUTION: A power transmission device comprises an enclosure, a power transmission coil housed in the enclosure, and an intrusion prevention member provided in the enclosure. The enclosure includes a body made of metal and a lid made of resin disposed to cover the body from above the body. The lid includes a top plate portion and a periphery wall portion formed in a slope shape. A slit is formed on the periphery wall portion for introducing external air into the enclosure. When power is transmitted from the power transmission coil to a receiving device, a region is formed around the transmission coil with a higher magnetic flux density than that inside the slit. The intrusion prevention member is provided in the path from the slit to the above-mentioned region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
