Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the constitution of a transfer device compact by mounting an axle differential gear in a space formed at the side of the transfer device of a housing which contains a clutch and so on and mounting a primary wheel differential gear beside the transmission device of the axle differential gear. CONSTITUTION:A transfer device 3 has both a planetary gear type axle differential gear (center differential gear) put about the axis of both front axles 10 and 11, and a bevel gear type front wheel differential gear (front differential gear) 30. In this case the center differential gear 20 is put in such a way that a part of the gear 20 projects in a space generated at the side of a transmission of a clutch housing 5a extending near the axis of both the front axles 10 and 11 to contain a clutch which is put between an engine and a transmission. The front differential gear 30 is put in the position which is on the same axis as that on which the center differential gear 20 is put and is adjacent to one side of the center differential gear 20 at the transmission side.
