Abstract:

To provide a power transmission mechanism which can stabilize the release characteristic of an excessive load torque.

A spiral spring 47 is made at its outer end part 48 into contact and engagement with a power transmission surface 43a formed on the rotor 41 side, and is retained at its inner end part 47a to a rotary shaft 61 so as to be prevented from being rotated. The spiral spring 47 is incorporated being elastically deformed so as to urge its outer end part 48. A limit surface 43b is formed on the rotor 41 so as to limit the displacement of the outer end part 48. The limit surface 43b is formed on the rotor 41 so as to abut against the outer end part 48 in order to limit the displacement of the outer end part 48 due to the urging force of the spiral spring 47. A releasing protrusion is formed on the rotary shaft 16 side, and if the load torque of a compressor becomes higher, exceeding a predetermined value, it abut against the outer end part 48 due to relative rotation between the rotor 41 and the rotary shaft 16 so as to displace the outer end part 48 in a radially outward direction on the limit surface 43b so as to release the urging force of the spiral spring 47. The release protrusion is sharpened so that a corner part on the outer peripheral side, which is located in the outermost peripheral part thereof, has a role of a front end part. When an excessive torque is released, the release protrusion is made into contact with the outer end part 48 through the intermediary of the corner part.
