Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress a surge voltage on the output side of a rectifier without giving any adverse influence to the operation of a power unit with a simple constitution.
SOLUTION: The connecting position of one end of a smoothing capacitor 12 is changed to the other end of a thermistor 14 connected to output-side one end of a rectifier 11 from one end of the thermistor 14. When a surge voltage is impressed, a high voltage is generated at the output line of the rectifier 11. The high voltage is effectively damped and suppressed by utilizing the filter effect of a serial RC circuit composed of the capacitor 12 and thermistor 14. The change of the connecting position does not give any adverse influence to the operation of a power source when power supply is made in a steady state.
