Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a capacitor from being excessively charged and overshot when a DC side turn off thyristor (GTO) is turned on again by shifting or blocking the phase of an AC control thyristor switch by an OFF command to the GTO. CONSTITUTION:In a normal operation mode for operating the AC control thyristor switch 3 in the ON state of the DC side GTO 7, an arithmetic circuit 15 outputs an input from a constant voltage control circuit 12 to a phase control circuit 13 as it is. At the time of inputting an operation command 54 from the switch 3 and an OFF command 53 to the GTO 7, the circuit 15 outputs a command for shifting the phase control angle of the switch 3 or blocking a gate to the circuit 13 to prevent the DC side capacitor from being excessively charged. Thereby, a waveform free from overshooting due to the excess charge of the capacitor can be obtained when the GTO 7 is turned on again.
