The pre-load roller type transmission 10 is composed of an input shaft roller 12 integrally equipped on an input shaft 11 supported by a casing 2 by a bearing, an output shaft roller 14 with a diameter different from the input shaft roller 12 integrally equipped on an output shaft 13 supported by the casing 2 by a bearing, a pair of pre-load rollers 21, 21 respectively circumscribed on both rollers 12, 14 so as to be symmetrical with respect to an axial line connecting axes of both rollers 12, 14, and a pre-load pressurizing means 22 for pressurizing the pre-load rollers 21, 21 in mutually approaching directions.
