The computer type tomography (CT) system is provided with this pre-patient collimator and a constitution changeable multi-slice detector array 18, and the pre-patient collimator is provided with plural eccentric came 82A and 82B for changing an X-ray beam 16 radiated from an X-ray source 14 and a filtering device 84. The respective eccentric came 82A and 82B are positioned so as to collimate the X-ray beam and can be independently positioned so as to perform the (z) axis correction of the X-ray beam. The filtering device 84 is provided with plural filters for changing the X-ray beam. At the time of an operation, an operator selects the form of a test and the amount and thickness of a slice. After changing the constitution of the detector and the collimator, the slice data of the respective slices are gathered.
